Law On Counterering Terrorism adoptedOn March 6, 2006, the Law On Counterering Terrorism was signed by Putin. According to the law, the FSB is named as the chief body to combat terrorism and the National Antiterrorist Committee (NAK) was established. The law replaced the 1998 version and offered a quite different definition of terrorism:
The new policy put a strong emphasis on terrorism as something aimed at the state, while the earlier policy had defined it as something directed at civilians. Agentura.Ru, March 2011 |
